The aim of the Stralis is meet and exceed the requirements of todays transport professionals with a model range capable of handling all missions in the best way possible.

Stralis therefore, in both tractor and rigid versions, is the most suitable vehicle for international and national transport as well as for distribution in towns and cities.
Engine
The Stralis uses Cursor Engines that have 6 in line cylinders with high pressure unit injectors and variable geometry turbo chargers, with the exception of the 310 and 480 HP engines which use a fixed geometry turbo with waste-gate.
For the Stralis range, the following are available:
3 displacements; 8, 10 and 13 litres
and 8 power variants (from 310 to 560 HP) with a maximum torque of up to 2,500 Nm.
The Cursor engines are renowned for their maximum torque output at low rpm and their constant wide torque curve. This engine flexibility guarantees a high level of driving comfort, excellent performance and low fuel consumption. As a standard feature all engines up to and including 500 HP are EEV (Enhanced Environmentally friendly Vehicle) compliant, already exceeding Euro 5 requirements.
Gearbox & Suspension
In the UK all Stralis product are fitted with the 12 speed EuroTronic automated transmission as standard. Optionally available are 9 or 16 gear manual transmissions (with “servoshift”) and on Cursor 8 rigids the automatic 6 gear Allison transmission is also available. All Cursor engines are equipped with an Iveco Turbo Brake (decompression engine brake), entirely integrated in the main and auxiliary (retardation brake) braking system. This way the Stralis braking systems guarantee maximum safety combined with low operating costs.
Frame strength and reliability has always been a key feature of the Iveco product range. The Stralis range adopts a strong high tensile steel chassis which is completely flat and free from obstructions and is available in 6.7 mm and 7.7 mm thicknesses depending on the choice of wheelbase and model. Safety
The driver of a Stralis can depend on an efficient, reliable and safe braking system. The entire Stralis range is equipped with front and rear ventilated disk brakes which are electronically controlled by ABS, EBL systems – to optimise the braking power based on the load – and, upon request, anti-slip ASR.
The Stralis range also offers the most advanced technological solutions for active safety – Electronic Brake System (EBS), ESP (available on the entire range of 4×2 and 6×2 tractors), Hill Holder to aid starts on slopes, Adaptive Cruise Control to maintain safe distances from the vehicle ahead and Lane Departure Warning System to signal lane changes caused by inattention and dozing off.
Comfort
The Stralis cab is a comfortable, ergonomic and safe environment in any driving condition. It provides an ideal environment for moving around and relaxing, for stowing possessions and feeling at home. All of the vehicles controls are easily visible and can be reached by driver with ease allowing safe control of the vehicle at all times and providing maximum travelling comfort. These features are highlighted by - dash with multi-functional central display and optional built in sat-nav, steering wheel controls for the Iveco Colour Display including menus for driving (examples include; engine oil level, air pressure level, adblue level, econometer,) and dialogue (examples include audio, trip data, diagnostics and maintenance). On the right hand column stalk are the controls for the decompression engine brake (ITB), ZF intarder (optional), cruise control settable speed limiter and eurotronic gear selection, heated driver’s seat with nine adjustment settings including pneumatic lumber support, overhead storage compartments above the driver and passenger providing for both open and closed compartments dependant on cab type and height.
